The Working Holiday Info Center is pleased to announce that the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Finland have officially signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Government of the Republic of Finland concerning Working Holidays, establishing a new framework for youth exchange between the two countries.

Signed on 13 May, the agreement will provide young people aged 18–35 from both countries with the opportunity to stay in the partner country for up to 12 months, allowing them to gain international experience while participating in cultural exchange, short-term employment, language learning, and everyday life in the host country.

Finland, widely recognized for its high quality of life and strong innovation ecosystem, also presents opportunities for broader cooperation with Korea across various sectors. Through this agreement, it is expected that exchanges between young people of both countries will become more active and contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and mutual understanding.

The agreement will enter into force 60 days after both countries complete the necessary domestic procedures and officially notify each other through diplomatic channels. Information regarding implementation details and annual participation arrangements will be announced once it is available.

With Finland joining the Working Holiday network, Korea now continues to expand opportunities for international exchange and overseas experiences for young people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue its efforts to broaden Working Holiday partnerships and support youth mobility programs in the future.
